Avery was super pumped that my cousin Derek, his wife Marion, and my parents came out to watch one of his outdoor soccer matches. He was pretty disappointed that his team lost, but he had some great plays, and I'm very proud of him. He starts at a British style soccer (okay, football!) camp next week, so we're trying to convince them all to come to next week's game, too. It'll be neat to see if Avery has any changes in his playing after having a couple of days of 9-4 camp! Hopefully he's not too exhausted from having played all day in this heat to partake in the evening match... eeep. Before we headed out for the game, we had dinner at our place. No photos taken of the food because it was all repeats. We had
black bean slider burgers, alfredo fries (but this time with a variety of new potatoes instead of fingerling), and leftover
coleslaw from
last night. For dessert we just had some
Skor bit cookies (without the chocolate chips) that I baked last night. Simple, but delicious. :)
(ppsssttt... Marion! I wrote this entry just for you so you didn't have to go searching for these recipes. ;))
Tomorrow is the very last day of school for my kids. Next year means grade 7 for Avery, grade 5 for Tiernan and grade 3 for Rhianna. Our babies are growing up so fast, and making us so proud - you should have seen their report cards! Summer fun, here we come!
